Our above-ground safe rooms have ground level access. The 33″ wide door clearance allows easy access for mobility scooters, wheelchairs, walkers, and pets. No stairs or steps.
Engineered To Withstand F5 Tornado Forces
Our storm shelters meet or exceed the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s standards, FEMA 320, FEMA 361, and the International Construction Code/ National Storm Shelter Association (ICC/NSSA) Standard for the Design and Construction of Storm Shelters ICC-500. Since FEMA established its guidelines there has not been a single fatality reported in a storm shelter meeting FEMA’s criteria.
No-Surprises Installation
Prices include a physical site assessment at your location prior to delivery. Our professional project manager will discuss the best location, ensure access is adequate for delivery, determine if the ground is level and well drained, and submit an underground line locate ticket. Our goal is to make sure there are no surprises on delivery day.
Monthly Payment Option
Safe rooms are available on a rent-to-own basis with low monthly payments and no credit check.
Additional Turnkey Options
While the safe rooms do not require placement on a concrete pad, Better Barns can also provide dirt work and concrete work as part of your safe room project. Contact one of our specialists for details.

Prices include delivery within 60 miles of plant.
Warranty
Manufacturer’s warranty from leakage for a period of 5 years from the date of installation.
